What "fully dosed" actually means - VECHÉN

Two tubs can list the same ingredients and be completely different products. The difference is a number — and most people never read it. Pick up two products with the same hero ingredient, ignore the front, turn both around, and compare the milligrams. The same ingredient can appear at ten times the dose in one product as in another, at similar prices, behind similar promises.

There's a level at which a nutrient officially counts as "present" on a UK label: 15% of its Nutrient Reference Value. That's a low bar — it means a product can carry a vitamin on its front label while containing roughly a seventh of your daily reference amount. Multiply that across a long ingredient list, and you get a label with twenty impressive names, none of them at a level you'd actually notice. There's even an industry nickname for this: "label decoration."

The rule this brand follows is simple: an ingredient goes in at a level that means something, or it doesn't go in at all.

Three steps to check any product, including this one: find the milligrams, not the marketing — if an ingredient is hidden inside a "blend" with one combined weight, that's your answer already. Check the NRV percentage where one exists — near 15% usually means the minimum was the target. And compare the dose to what the front label celebrates — if the back label whispers what the front shouts about, trust the back.

A short ingredient list at full strength beats a long one at trace amounts — but only one of those looks impressive from across a shop.
