Description

Support normal bones, muscles and immune function with a measured liquid vitamin routine. This apple and vanilla formula pairs algae-derived vitamin D3 with vitamin K2 as MK-7 in a vegan alternative to capsules. Vitamin D helps your body absorb and use calcium and phosphorus, while both vitamins D and K contribute to the maintenance of normal bones.

The liposomal formulation uses sunflower-derived phospholipids to form tiny lipid carriers called liposomes. Vitamins D and K are fat-soluble, meaning they dissolve in fats rather than water. A phospholipid delivery system allows these nutrients to be formulated in a water-based liquid, with a marked dropper for measuring a small 1ml serving.

Each 1ml serving provides 100µg vitamin D3, equivalent to 4000 IU, and 100µg vitamin K2. Vitamin D also contributes to normal immune and muscle function. This is a high-strength adult formula: the serving already reaches the NHS adult upper limit for vitamin D, so seek professional advice before combining it with other vitamin D supplements.

The two vitamins have complementary nutritional roles: D supports calcium absorption and normal muscle and immune function, while K contributes to normal blood clotting as well as normal bones. Algae supplies the D3 in a vegan form; MK-7 is the form of K2 used here. Sunflower phospholipids provide the lipid carrier, xylitol contributes sweetness, glycerol helps the liquid’s consistency, and apple and vanilla flavouring makes the small serving easy to take. Potassium sorbate preserves the formula.

Shake before use, measure 1ml and take directly or add to a liquid once daily. The 60ml bottle provides 60 servings. Suitable for vegans. If you take warfarin, discuss this vitamin K-containing formula with your anticoagulation team before use.

FAQs

If it isn't answered below, ask us — a real person replies.

How much vitamin D3 and K2 is in one serving?
A 1ml serving provides 100µg (4000 IU) vitamin D3 and 100µg vitamin K2 as MK-7.
Is the vitamin D3 vegan?
Yes. The D3 is derived from algae, and the formula uses sunflower-derived phospholipids.
How do I take it?
Shake the bottle, measure 1ml using the dropper markings and take once daily. Take directly by mouth or add to a liquid. Do not exceed this intake unless professionally directed.
Can I take it with another vitamin D supplement?
Seek advice from a doctor or pharmacist first. This serving already contains 100µg (4000 IU), the NHS adult upper limit for daily vitamin D intake. Include vitamin D from all supplements when considering your total.
Can I take it if I use warfarin?
Speak to your anticoagulation team before starting it. This formula contains vitamin K, which can affect warfarin treatment.
How should I store it?
Keep it in a cool, dark place and ideally refrigerate after opening. Use within six months of opening.
What flavour is it, and how long does it last?
Apple and vanilla. The 60ml bottle provides 60 days at 1ml daily.
What does liposomal mean?
The formula uses phospholipids from sunflower to form tiny lipid carriers called liposomes. Vitamin D and vitamin K are fat-soluble; the phospholipid formulation provides a way to disperse them in a water-based liquid. You can measure the serving with the marked dropper and take it without swallowing a capsule.
Why combine D3 and K2?
Both contribute to normal bones, while D also helps the body absorb and use calcium and supports normal muscle and immune function. K contributes to normal blood clotting. These are their established nutritional roles; taking the two together is not a guarantee that calcium will be redirected or that blood vessels will be protected.
Why use a lipid carrier?
Vitamins D and K are fat-soluble. Sunflower phospholipids form lipid carriers that allow them to be incorporated into this liquid delivery format. This explains the formulation; it does not establish that this product is absorbed better than every conventional D3 and K2 supplement.

Found inOily fish, egg yolk, fortified foods — and sunlight on skin

What it is

Vitamin D3 is also called cholecalciferol. Vitamin D can be made in the skin following sunlight exposure and is found in a limited range of foods, including oily fish and fortified foods.

Its nutritional role

Vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and muscle function and the normal function of the immune system. It also contributes to normal absorption and utilisation of calcium and phosphorus.

Understanding the units

Vitamin D may be stated in micrograms or international units. One microgram equals 40 IU, so 100µg equals 4,000 IU. This is a unit conversion, not a different strength of vitamin.

In VECHÉN

Liposomal Vitamin D3 + K2 supplies 100µg vitamin D3 per 1ml serving; Bovine Collagen + Glucosamine supplies 3.3µg per serving. These are substantially different amounts. The liquid’s 100µg serving equals the NHS adult daily upper limit, so it should not be casually combined with other vitamin D supplements. Follow the label and seek advice if unsure which intake is appropriate.

Vitamin K2 (MK-7)

Menaquinone-7, one form of the vitamin K family.

SourceVitamin K2 (MK-7)
FormLiquid formulation
Found inFermented foods — natto above all — plus cheese and egg yolk

What it is

Vitamin K includes K1 and a group of K2 forms known as menaquinones. MK-7 stands for menaquinone-7; the number refers to its chemical side chain, rather than a dose or potency score.

Its nutritional role

Vitamin K contributes to normal blood clotting and to the maintenance of normal bones. K2 is therefore more than a companion ingredient to vitamin D, although the two are often included in the same formula.

Understanding combinations

Combining D3 and K2 does not mean that K2 cancels the risks of taking excessive vitamin D. Each nutrient’s amount needs to be considered separately.

In VECHÉN

Liposomal Vitamin D3 + K2 provides 100µg vitamin K2 per 1ml serving. The vitamin K is supplied as MK-7. If you use warfarin or a similar vitamin K antagonist, discuss vitamin K supplements with your prescriber before changing your intake; consistency of intake can matter to treatment.

Sunflower lecithin

Sunflower-derived phospholipids used to help structure the liposomal liquids.

SourceSunflower phospholipids / sunflower lecithin, as declared by formula
FormLiquid formulation ingredient
Found inSunflower seeds, egg yolk, soy

What it is

Lecithin is a mixture containing phospholipids. These molecules have a water-attracting part and a fat-attracting part, which makes them useful where water and fat-based ingredients need to be combined.

Why it is included

Phospholipids can form layered structures in water. They are used in liposomal formulations, where the physical arrangement of the ingredients is part of the product design.

Understanding the terminology

Liposomal describes a formulation approach. It does not identify a separate vitamin or, on its own, establish how much more of a nutrient is absorbed. Claims about superior absorption require evidence for the particular finished formulation.

In VECHÉN

Sunflower lecithin or sunflower phospholipids are listed in Liposomal Vitamin C and Liposomal Vitamin D3 + K2. Their purpose differs from the vitamins supplied alongside them. Sunflower lecithin is also distinct from soy lecithin; the source should be read from the ingredient list of the individual product.

Three distinct types

Steviol glycosides are sweet compounds obtained from stevia leaves. Sucralose is a high-intensity sweetener used in small quantities. Xylitol is a polyol, also called a sugar alcohol; the term does not mean it contains drinking alcohol.

Why formulas differ

High-intensity sweeteners provide sweetness in small amounts, while a polyol can also contribute bulk. Their flavours and behaviour differ, so they are not necessarily interchangeable within a recipe.

Reading the label

The presence of a sweetener does not establish that the complete product is sugar-free or calorie-free. Other ingredients can contribute carbohydrate, sugars or energy. Polyols can cause digestive discomfort or a laxative effect when consumed in excess.

In VECHÉN

Selected protein and collagen powders use steviol glycosides. Liposomal Vitamin D3 + K2 lists xylitol. BCAA 2:1:1 and Electrolytes + Carbs list sucralose. Compare the finished formula and flavour rather than assuming every product uses the same sweetener.

The liquid base

Water provides the base in which the other ingredients are combined. Glycerol, also called glycerine, can help with texture and moisture retention. These names describe formulation ingredients rather than extra vitamin doses.

Acidity and preservation

Citric acid helps control acidity and contributes a tart taste. Potassium sorbate is used as a preservative to help limit the growth of certain microorganisms, particularly yeasts and moulds. Each serves a different purpose.

A useful distinction

The word potassium in potassium sorbate does not make it an electrolyte supplement. The ingredient is included for its preservative function, and a nutritional potassium amount would need to be declared separately.

In VECHÉN

The two liposomal liquids contain different combinations of supporting ingredients. Follow the storage instructions for the chosen bottle, including any directions after opening. The presence of a preservative does not mean the product can be stored indefinitely, and a liquid’s total volume is different from its vitamin content.
